Hosted by Gator Boatwx, LLC, the Battle on the Bayou Fishing Tournament is an annual bass fishing tournament held on the Saturday after Father’s Day.
Over the Years
BOTBFT began as a vision in 2024 from Justin Simon, owner and lead mechanic of Gator Boatwx, LLC, who wanted to bring the community together through a bass fishing tournament.
Their first year (2024), the goal was to raise $2,000 in prize money, aiming for 20 anglers. The tournament far surpassed their goal, bringing in $5960 in cash prizes with 63 anglers.
Their second year (2025), over $7,000 in prize money was given out, with 87 anglers battling it out for the prize money.
